Donstroy: A City Drawn Into a Story
A pencil-drawn city, evening warmth, a convertible and a human gesture form a short architecture-led sequence, plus a separate photographic lighting study.
Architecture supplies narrative scale
The city appears first as drawing, then a moving scene. The warm evening, convertible and courtyard encounter develop one environment rather than a collection of unrelated shots.
The photograph owns the geometry
For the separate still study, the source image locks crop, camera position and architecture. External references may contribute colour, shadow or reflections, but cannot bend straight lines, reveal a new angle or expand the frame.
Light must reveal material
Stone, plaster, brick and metal each have distinct microtexture. Shadows require a plausible source and reflections must agree with the surface; a graded filter is not equivalent to authored illumination.
Research status
This is documented visual development with review criteria. It is not evidence that every generated version passed inspection, nor that a complete released architectural advertisement exists.
